Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Independent Contractor Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations in a safe and timely manner. This role requires excellent driving skills, knowledge of routes, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule while adhering to transportation regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Transport goods to and from specified locations safely and efficiently
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
Maintain accurate logs of vehicle operation and shipments
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status
Ensure timely delivery and pick-up of all cargo
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Handle packaging and loading of goods as required
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years of driving experience
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Access to a reliable vehicle in good working condition
Insurance coverage that meets company standards
